The viper:online business process collaboration solution is made available as a Software as a Service (SaaS) application; Prodata Solutions plays the role of application services provider (ASP).

This means users are able to avoid up-front software licence and hardware purchase costs, instead paying monthly transaction fees that allow costs to be matched with the level of business activity.

A transaction fee is charged for each new freight services order (consignment note) registered on the viper:online Information Hub.

The basic transaction fee level provides access to viper:online>accelerate features. Higher transaction fees are charged depending on the other features each carrier/shipper relationship has chosen to use.

Each fee component can be charged to either the shipper or carrier.

For example, a carrier may pay the basic viper:online>accelerate transaction fee so that it can provide online document delivery via the internet to all its customers.

The same carrier may have large customers who greatly value the process improvement benefits provide by the Invoice Processing features of viper:online>collaborate. The customer may agree to pay the transaction fee for this feature, in which case a separate invoice will be raised for each organisation.

Transaction fee charges are calculated monthly, with the fee-per-transaction dropping as transaction volume increases.
